No issues today. Other than running out of groceries. No more fruit. 1 steak left. So chicken it is after the steak.

Weighed in this morning since I'm not sure if I'll find a truck stop this evening with a scale.
    20160212_065239.jpg

Total of 14.7 lbs since 1-31-16 and 11.4 lbs. in 6 days.
That seems drastic, but last time I done this I saw my doctor and she didn't have a problem with it. She just said to make sure and take a multivitamin every day and to stay active. Some people say it's not healthy, but get real! What I was eating before was in no way healthy, but devastating to the body. Now I'm eating vegetables and fruit everyday. Plenty of protein and exercise to prevent muscle deterioration.
And the weight loss should continue up to 30 days from the start and the body adapts. That's were I'll have to change things up. I'm shooting for 30 lbs for 30 days. Last time I done 32 lbs.
    Look up paleo/caveman eating lifestyle.
And check out YouTube videos. That's mostly what I do. Don't care for atkins, but pretty similar.

I was doing okay until I got in this truck otr, but really it was excuses, and just easy to make the bad food choices. I use to run local/regional.
This definitely is not easy. I have to stay focused and strict on myself.
Have to stop at Walmart today. Just bought a few bananas from pilot.

    Later!

Well I am not far behind you in age. I am 6'5 240 and always stayed in shape and 230 at the most. Well I do what I can on the road but if you are doing your job it's really hard to make that time on the road.

Doing my job right is not hard.like my company and job. Eating healthy is not hard. Fitting exercise in can be sometimes.
But what is truly hard is to make my mind up to start and stick with it. It's hard to fight off the urges for Ben & Jerry's. A real good chicken fried steak with mash potatoes. THAT'S HARD!
It took me hitting rock bottom to want change bad enough. And rock bottom was when I stepped on that scale.
Now I try to be optimistic about everything and have goals and do my best to make it work.
Like right now i parked for the night at a TA instead of flying j because of the free Gym. Going to use that now, then have dinner.
    Appreciate the comments.

After a elliptical workout didn't feel like eating, but I ate a banana before going to bed here shortly. No tv tonight, another 11 hr day tomorrow to make it all the way to the receiver.

Don't think I will post what I'm eating every day. Not sure if anybody is even interested in that. But if so just post here and i can. Tomorrow it's either pork chops or a hamburger steak w/onions and some squash, zucchini and broccoli. And I picked up one of those baby watermelons for dessert and snacks, and of course a cantelope and some blackberries.
Will still post the weigh in.

My BS quote of the day!
I prefer to struggle losing my weight rather than just struggling with my weight.

Posting what you eat might help you stay true.

I would shrival up and die on your diet ;-)

Mine is pretty much what you don't eat. Mainly diet soda, nuts, grains, dairy and lots of chips! And the most important food group....CHOCOLATE!

Weight today with only tee shirt, socks and leggings....167 (i'm only 5-5" and thats down from 225). Working on those last 10lbs. sucks.

Well since the last update I've changed out some foods. I know eat only egg whites that comes in a quart at Walmart. I also changed from regular precooked bacon to turkey bacon. And once I run out of my bag of coffee I will be switching to decaf.
Been forcing myself to walk at least every other day.
Fixing to take a few days of with my youngest in texas.

So how did you make this happen?
And yes the last part is the hardest,. Then you get to move into maintenence phase.

    Portion control.

Ruffels sour cream and chedder potato chips in the family size bag.....those were a single serving size! I now eat 1/2 or less than 1/2 of what I use to eat.

I've never counted calories befote but you have me curious now. Tomorrow I'm going track what I eat and compare to what you are showing. I'm also interested in how much higher my salt intake is than most would consume.

I didn't count calories last time. I was really curious this time and I wanted to make sure I accounted for everything I ate. Good or bad. Like I'm starting to get a little burned out on steak. Yep, steak. Who would've thought. Need to pick up some salmon (frozen). I don't touch talipia though. Trash fish that's imported 95%+. And seen videos how they feed them. NO THANKS!

This app captain Dave suggested is pretty cool. I just found out I can Barcode scan anything I buy, fruit, veggies, meat, etc.if it has a Barcode I can just scan it and it will automatically import all the nutrition info. Way easy. I would highly recommend for anyone wanting to see what they're eating everyday.
I still eat lots everyday, but just different food that doesn't add up to so many calories.
So when I shop for groceries I only shop on the outside perimeters of the grocery stores, except frozen veggies.

I only use kosher salt on my steak and the tiny iodine salt packs from the truckstops for my fruit like cantelope and watermelon.
Let me know how you do on that last 10
