This company has absolutely no regard for you as a human being. They will literally run you into the ground with completely illegal dispatch. Many of their outbound ltl runs dont give drivers any rest, and almost all of their produce return loads are torture tests. A fellow owner op died of a massive heart attack and I suffered a mental breakdown and lost my career. All I can hope is that they are stopped before some innocent people die because an exhausted driver runs them over. Stay far far away as you really dont want to be there when they finally are caught.

I don't find that post hard to believe having ran the Salinas season last year.
It can't be done legally and they are in for a wake up call when elogs are mandatory.
By the time ya get to Salinas your out of hours and then up all night making pick ups .
Then gotta haul ### East ...

Who drives the truck? Driver or dispatch? There is no hot load that can't be cooled down, but I wonder.
I see alot of these posts about this type of stuff, does it happen, are these guys sissies? I don't know.

I started driving in 1986. The mindset that was instilled in most drivers back then was that the freight came first and you were a sissy if you couldnt do it. Companies have used that thought process for years to their advantage. We all know its not that easy to end a contract and move to another carrier. You keep doing what has to be done and hope things will get better. I do feel that e logs are the best way to stop trucking companies from abusing drivers and putting the public at risk all for a #### load of freight. I was never a sissy, I just had a misplaced sense of pride in my job.

I wound up working for about 35 hours straight before I closed my doors at my last pickup. This was a fairly common thing loading out of Salinas. Then I went into a complete blackout. I was arrested 2 days later in a place far behind schedule for dui. I had no idea where I was or what I was doing. I never drank behind the wheel but thats just what I was doing then. I will live with this shame forever while Badger State Western can just keep doing what they do. I know most will condem me, that is your call. I know and live with the horror of this. The only good thing about this is that no one died. But thats what will happen before this company changes its ways.
