stay away from jb hunt lp. this is a legal scam. 99 % of drivers quit at the first months; no miles/loads, you will be stocked in the northeast with no layover pay for weekends. also if you quit you will never see your last check and they charge you a termination fee of 3500 and a bad dac report. stay away from this company, do not suffer the concecuences.

Details please, we hear this alot about the big companies fleece programs..
-
I still don't understand how so many drivers get caught up in fleece purchase deals.
-
Doesn't anyone ever read about others experiences in the lease programs on here? The lease only benefits the company in most cases.
Drive safe -
The 3500.00 term fee is in the contract you sign in the beginning, so you really can't hold that against them. If someone is dumb enough to sign such a thing, they deserve to be charged.

there is constantly new meat coming out of the cdl mills that believe whatever the companies tell them and take it a Gospel.Last edited: Jun 3, 2009
MUSTANGGT Thanks this. -
You guys never learn. Just think about it in a logical sense. A lease purchase only benefits the company. Who /what gets paid first? The truck payment, the Insurance payment, the fuel, the escrow, the maintainence fund, etc, etc, etc. If there's anything left over, the driver gets it. You take the freight that is given you, you cannot make any modifications to the truck, AND, they do the bookwork. And you guys fall for this all the time. Oh, did I mention, you're getting a worn out truck also?

last weeks settlements after expenses , all that without load refusal and not days off taken:
$ 181
$ 193
$ 213
$ 79
like you see this is not enough for over the road meals and you can't pay your bills with this miserable earning . stay away from them, do not lease and learn from other truckers experiences. -
Suprise, Surprise!!

I was a company driver for jb for 2 years. I didnt get rich but i always made a paycheck. i decided 2010 was gonna be my last year doing OTR and thought what the hell, i can pocket some extra cash by doing the lease. i switched over to the IC program in september of 09. im not gonna go into all the details cause its all true in all these posts. Please, I beg you. I will do anything to try and help you make the decision to not do any lease with the company owning the truck. i will send you all of my settlements if you email me. i just got home yesterday and im so broke because Im stupid for even believing that could make 1500 a week doing this. my fleet manager kept me going telling me it would get better and the first few months can be hard "cause your now a buisness owner" and when i would say "this isnt working", he would reply" not worried about you dood, we will get you straightened out. im now at risk of losing every thing i have, im literally 2 secs to being homeless. cell phones should get shut off any day. my kids arent going to get xmas cause thier dad is a ###### and fell for a scam. Like one guy said here. if you fall fo it you deserve it. im not blaming JB because it was my ####### who fell fo it. in close. your better off as a company driver cause you will always get something. with the lease some weeks you wont get anything. For the guys out there who are gonna say, i dont know how to drive etc. i ran my ### off, always early for pickup and delivery except for those loads where they wont let you deliver or pickup early. i never hung out at trucks stops. one more thing. those who go on forced dispatch. keep turning down loads and they will fire your ###, a friend a met a lousiville had this happen cause according to jb, if your the only truck to cover the load you have to take it regardless of it makes any money for you. bottom line, JB Hunt is the only true winner when it comes to leasing. anymore questions email me at drudd28@live.com. ill give you every bit of info i got on this lease
