any info about the lewiston, ME dedicated? im going to be calling my recruiter/FM about their dedicated routes but i was wondering if anyone had an exp\with the lewiston, ME DC.
-
I del at a walmart construction site today and had a thought I remember when I was pulling a reefer wm didnt hesitate when it came to rejecting something so being on the dedicated side how often do the stores reject items or loads
-
ive had a few managers shake their had at the crappy palatizing and loading. I garauntee if any pallets came in to the DC the way they sometimes leave, that pallet would be rejected.
you know that damage could only have happened at the DC. -
"Stores themselves don't reject anything. I'm not sure they can if it comes from their own DC."
Yes they can, but usually don't regarding damaged merchandise. And there is plenty of damaged merchandise. Here at Olney, there have been a few cases where a portion of a stores delivery has been rejected because of where it was located on the trailer. Having to move 12 pallets of frozen to get to a stores last 2 pallets of dairy is asking a bit much, especially when the store doesn't have room to off-load the 12 pallets. -

sounds like fun where do I resign up

any info on the Lewiston ME DC i live an hour and like 10 min away and am looking to come to prime in a couple of months
-
They look to need more drivers... enough to press non-force lease drivers into store load service after delivering to the DC. Ask recruiting about it when you apply.

Definitely a better idea if you are local and want to slip seat. Living at the DC is #### depressing. Almost exclusively night deliveries. The way to make money is catching two loads a night. Individual loads don't pay much at all.
