Of course a recruiter would never lie or leave out info that may hurt his income, which is based on how many drivers he hooks.

They'll take the TWIC card out costs out of your paycheck.

Has your recruiter given you a start date yet? Because they send you an email listing everything you need to bring - which includes $100 cash. Anyone who says otherwise probably has selective memory or just has no experience with prime.

I would think it's in the recruiters interest to be transparent. Why would they put you on a bus, put you up in a room, bring you to springfield to train you, and hide the fact the $100 fee and risk you going home... THey're going to make a lot more money off you while you're training. The $100 covers your background check, drug screen, physical, fingerprinting, etc.

The $100.00 is paid during the interview. I paid this on day two of orientation. I also had to pay additional $$$ for my TWIC and a little more $$$ for my passport.

Did you have to pay this your first week?

It all comes out of your settlement/paycheck over two weeks I think they said, but I didn't have to personally hand them money

I just finished orientation 2 weeks ago almost and I never paid anything. But signed a paper saying they would take it in installments out of my settlement. Maybe since I'm lease operator it works differently

My recruiter mentioned a $100 administrative fee and an additional $50 for the permit fees. It's really tough for me to come up with that kind of money right now and pay my rent so I don't get kicked out of my apartment while I am away starting a new career, but gotta do what I gotta do. She says she can get me there starting orientation on the 18th. Excited, nervous, and stressed out already lol.
