If you take an objective look at this industry in general, it's shockingly sad to see the lack of common sense from every angle.

I just set my phone on vibrate, but in all fairness I heard a few ring and I know those guys didn't get the ol' boot. #### happens, ya know?

Try answering it during a formal session...

The ultimate in disrespect: making someone wait for you while you conduct trifling personal business on a cell phone. You'll see this sign at almost every shipper and receivers check-in window...

    NO CELL PHONES ALLOWED

Best advice you can get. Treat the entire experience as an interview. Whether standing in line, listening to someone talk, or even just eating breakfast, be professional and watch what you say and do.

And don't be late to anything.
