I've noticed that none of prime flatbed trucks have tire chains..but all the reefer trucks I've seen have chains..is there a reason for that?

That's because they have freight that is more time sensitive.
-
what does freight have to do with anything????
some states will give you a ticket for not having chains. -
just because you dont see them, does not mean they dont have them.

tire chains,, used to hook them end to end and pull good girls in 4 wheelers out of the ditch
-
Unless I'm mistaken, many trucks/drivers don't run out West where you must have chains during part of the year... but that's also extra weight and is good to lose if it's not required.

Flatbed side usually has more storage for things so they're probably just hiding them somewhere. When I was there, Prime made all their drivers have chains.
skellr Thanks this. -
They put a step box on for flatbed instead of a chain rack. For better or worse.

Oh not the chain threads yet... please
Rodeoman7 and postmandav Thank this.
