When I worked for them I rented a car From Chicago to Springfield and dropped it off at the Springfield Airport and then prime has a shuttle that will pick you up... I believe it was around $60 for a 1 way rental plus gas...It was through Thrifty Car Rental

Prime reimbursed me a little bit of it, can remember exactly how much...

I dont ride on Grey Hounds

Its the cost of the bus ticket from your home to Springfield.

Ok here's the deal - I haven't posted on my medical progress for awhile, cus I really didn't have much to say. As I mentioned earlier, I had cataract surgery on the 9th, and I now see 20/25 uncorrected. Again as you may remember I was reported as having a low heart rate and had to go for an EKG, which lead to a ride to the ER. All that tempest in a teapot lead to naught. They did want me to do a stress test and a echo cardiogram, both of which have been reported to me as being normal. Today I have a general physical with my PCP. The only thing that is now outstanding is the report on my Sleep Test which I took on the 8th.

What all this means is that I think I will be able to request a start date for training, I have already been approved. I just want to make sure I have all my ducks in a row, and that once I get to Springfield that I will have no glitches. I guess with a November start, I will miss T-givings Day at home - ok, tough but ok, also may miss Christmas - not so good but ok too. Our people in the Military have missed a few days.

Any recommendations for a trainer for my TnT would be appreciated. If there are any to be avoided, please send a PM.

    Regards to all

    AF

Something you have to get used to. Freight doesn't care that it's a holiday.

OK here's an update and a question - I go to my cardio Dr for a consult and release with letter - all is ok. Emailed with my recruiter and she said that I must be on the CPAP for 30 days to be compliant. Not sure what that means. Can I use the training days as part of my 30 days? or do I need to do 30 days at home to be compliant. If I have to do 30 days home it will be January 15 before I can start PSD

It's 30 days before you come to orientation so that Prime's doc has enough medical history to adequately evaluate your health. Sorry... yet another delay. Make sure your CPAP machine is the style that can be downloaded.

That's a Recruiter Question<TM>. DoT compliance standards only require reviewing the prior 30 days, so that's where the 30 day number comes from. Since (I believe) they don't send students home who are diagnosed with SA during orientation, you should be safe.
