Who ever called it a division? Terminology matters. I always referred to it as an account. Your reading comprehension could use a little help, either that or it was an intentional shift in terminology to muddy the conversation. That's an awfully disingenuous tactic, but not surprising considering the source.

As far as the account not lasting, well that can happen to any account, any division, any company at any time depending on business needs and outside economic factors. That's kind of how things work everywhere, not just with Prime or trucking.

You know IP, you do seem to have a fair amount of knowledge to share, but the arrogance is really unnecessary. You might not have so much trouble with folks or take vacations (that some of us really enjoyed, so peaceful) if you learned to express yourself with a little humility and kindness. You seem to approach folks as if you are the only homo sapiens in room full of knuckle dragging troglodytes. Hate to break it to you but some of us are able to string together sentences with words comprising of more than two syllables. Some folks might actually know something you don't but you'll never find out if you treat everyone with disrespect and as if they are an idiot.

I did. N3ss asked about a SE regional in reefer that I had been talking about. I sent him a PM. At that point I would say it is up to him to call, talk to the account manager, get the info and decide whether it would fit his needs or not. I noticed the mention of switching to reefer from what I would infer is flatbed. That would be a big step that I don't know if I would make, but I'm not him. That's why I gave him the number of the person who can actually answer his questions. I would posit that the account manager would have the most complete set of data that n3ss could use to decide for himself what is best for him.

Agreed... however without posting "ain't no sech thang" there will be 100 wannabes asking about it. Stuff has a way of taking on a life of its own on the net.

These one of a kind accounts do come up from time to time... you just have to be talking to the right person at the right time. Good luck!

I thought it was a division, had my hopes up. My bad, yo. I'll keep it in the back of my mind going forward regardless, not sure I want to spend another month sharing a cell for re-training. Although if a walmart account means delivering to walmart stores from their DC, the walmarts in my area are serviced by Pageland, SC and some other DC in florida, most of the time... So I still probably wouldn't get more home time.

Any way, I'll stop derailing your thread, lol.

I'm of the opinion that there is no such animal as a thread derail. A conversation will flow where it is natural for it to flow. :D

I had a trainee that lives near the only il account but didn't want to slip seat. They left him on an otr board but lent him to the walmart dc. They flat out told him when they fill all the slip seat positions he'd be otr. It's 18 months later and he's still running out of the DC. He uprated to instructor and run stu dents out of the dc. Like others posted if there's a need they'll work something out
