It's not just as simple as a single o/o leasing on to a company. Henderson is bringing customers and trailers with them which the average o/o leasing to Prime does not. There is no way Henderson is bringing those assets to Prime and all they are getting in return is the same percentage that the other Prime o/o are getting.

It does mean that prime's yards are getting more and more cramped with these other trailers coming in.

Henderson is selling off their assets (excluding tractors) to finance the buyout of the shares of 2 of the 3 Henderson brothers in the company. Henderson will continue operations under their name and MC number, on Prime's Advanced Fleet. They get the same access to Prime's freight network, with the same revenue split that every other motor carrier partnered with Prime gets... from the guy with one truck and his own authority to fleets like Wil-Trans and O&S.

They went from making 100% down to 72%. They must have been in big trouble financially to make that deal. They aren't owned by the Henderson family. John Kaburick bought the company several years ago. He died a few months ago, which I'm guessing has something to do with this deal.

I just read the piece and it sounds like corporate soap opera. As for JP, I have seen a couple of JP reefers that were not pulling Prime trailers and appeared to be separate from wiltrans. Seen in ID & UT.

Wil-Trans bought them from the bankruptcy court. I imagine that wasn't entirely appreciated by all parties concerned.

Henderson trailers won't be going anywhere soon, so get used to them.

Henderson will be the new drop yard in St Louis area... It'll be a mud pit this winter... Does have concrete strips for landing gear...

Since it is right down the street from Larry's, I imagine there will be some new rules for company drivers at Prime. Not sure about lease (the do serve booze). Take a cab. Henderson already has a rule that they'll fire anyone who parks their truck at those local establishments.

not sure if they will reorganize their fleets... Company and Lease are mixed boards.
