Got my call today and I'm scheduled to start orientation Tuesday 5/27/2014. The only thing I'm not looking forward to is the 15 hour bus ride from Ft. Worth, Tx I have read some negitive stuff on here about PTL, but I'm not letting it bother me. Looking forward to meeting some fellow drivers out there one of these days!!
Headed to orientation this weekend.

A friend of mine went to work for PTL a couple months ago. He is an experienced driver, not a student, but he is happy with them so far. He's told me that they run him as hard as he wants to run and he's making good money. He also said that he has had no problems getting to the house when he's ready for home time. The only down side is that the equipment leaves something to be desired, especially old and decrepit trailers. Good luck and keep the dirty side down.
KD5AXG and countryboy2870 Thank this. -
Ignore the negative stuff; some drivers would complain if you hung them with a brand new rope. Overall, Paschall has a good reputation as a pretty good dry van company & the trucks have APU's.
Leftnut, KD5AXG, countryboy2870 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I have read more positive stuff than I have negative. The only things that concern me are the hotel and some of the decrepit equipment....I can lysol the hotel and I'm good with my hands so decrepit equipment is no biggie unless the axles are gonna come out from under it haha. I love that the trucks have APU's and also that the company has a pet policy.

You're only going to be in the hotel a few days and it's free to you.
You're a Texan, piece of cake for you...lol. You won't have any problems! -
Haha my thoughts exactly China
-
Do you drive for PTL?

Countryboy, I am a week behind you I start 6/2/14,,,in Murray. U got the right attitude!! Whats bad for 1 person is not automatically bad for another. All people have different perceptions of a given situation, and therefore react to situations differently. Keep your tolerance level to BS high, stay positive, and stay tough! Hope to see you out there,,,,
