I'm looking for a list of companies that don't require any experience to apply at...

I'll start as I know Maverick is one...

Thank you in advance for your addition! :biggrin_25514:

I just spoke to a Prime recruiter and found their program very interesting...You do 'school' in a truck, then drive with a trainer for so many miles then you solo...If the school I enrolled in that starts on Oct 4th wasn't free, I would have went for that but chose to just ask for a pre-hire for after I complete school...

They weren't my first choice but I saw in someone's signature that newbs should get as many pre-hires as you can as you just never know what may happen...We'll see!...

Swift. they took me. it was in a 3 week school, then (at the time) 42 days on a mentors truck, THEN a driving test at your home terminal. so by the time you go solo, you've spent (or should spend) close to 2+ months getting training.

school, when i went in mid 2008, was $3900. and at that time, if you worked 13 months, it was all paid for. They take out $75 per weekly check, but give you back $32.50. after 13 months, your tuition is paid off, stay with them another 13 months, and they continue to repay you, YOUR half. So after 26 mo. driving company truck...your tuition is paid.

again....thats how it was when i went thru school. will have to talk to a recuriter fo show.

I just spoke to a Maverick recruiter to make sure they received my application, they did, but said they don't issue pre-hires and to wait until I had my CDL..

Looking at CR England's site, I found this:

"""Once you have completed your training program you can choose your own career path.
    Your options are:

    • Lease your own truck and become an independent contractor running your own business
    • Lease your own truck with a six-month demo lease
    • Remain as a second seat at 13 cents a mile and continued company benefits"""
    .13/mile???????

Did they give you a pre-hire or just say call us back after you get your license?

Are you talking about once you have your CDL, after school. Or starting from square one?

For myself, after getting CDL, but for others, all...

If you can be specific on which you add are pre or post CDL, that would be helpful...Thank you!
