I want to get my CDL and I'm looking for a good school and company. Havn't had much luck in financial aid. I'm unemployed no money but I am very able to work and I want to work. pretty sure I'd like to be a driver.
Any guidaence would be appreciated.
Doesn't anyone have anything good to say about C.R. England? Most the things I've heard about them is negative.
Thanks .
Is C.R.England a Good School?Company?

There are a couple people on here that seem to like it. But there are a lot more that don't!!!! There are plenty threads on CRE, you could spend days reading all the stories. There are plenty of companies that provide training IMO you might want to research a few different companies. You are going to hear negative about all of them however some of the others have probably half the negative threads that CRE does. Good luck to you which ever way you go.

Try Work Force Solutions I did get my funding that way and you do not have to pay it back.
You have to be very prepared to give good reason as to why you want your CDL A as to many people have no clue what they are getting in to.
I start my training Sept 12 her in Maine with a local truck driving school

As far as my exstensive research goes: I found that they offer CDL training before you get hired as a driver. Most companies offer tution free training if you stay with the company for a 6 months, 8 months, or 1 year...depending on your contract.
CR England will take the cost of tuition from your check, even if you complete the time stated on your contract. Its pure genious!
Not only do you work for the lowest amount of money paid in the trucking industry, but you are paying the company to do it!!!
CR England, (IMO) makes tons of money from new drivers. $3000 per student. Hundreds of students per month.
Heres the kicker: By law, if a company hires you and your job requires a CDL, the company is held accountable for the training cost.
CR England hires you after your CDL training, so not only do they duck the cost by law, but now you have to pay them!
Please: Take it from me.
Do your homework. Make sure trucking is something you really want to do, and not just a fast way out of financial trouble. You will be disappointed. Trucking is for those who love to truck. Period!
After your research, look into a Jr. College, ROP, adult school, and you can even check your library for career training. Truck driving will for sure be on the list that qualifies for financial assistance.
Good luck with your quest.
Remember, do your homework before you sign anything!
And I don't mean hear say.
