I was told some trucks have beds in them for truckers to sleep in. I see some trucks have a bigger space behind where the driver would be driving. is behind it the space for bedding? does some trucks have a bathroom/shower? or is this a bit much? I'm asking because what if a motel is not nearby at all?
does some trucks have a bed, shower, bathroom in them?

typical sleeper..minus the mess;
fancy sleeper w/bathroom etc... -
Most OTR rigs have beds (sleepers). These are twin/full size beds.
As far as rigs that have showers/toilets, these are rare. They are normally owned by the driver (or team). They are limited on what they can haul due to the tractor (truck portion) being larger. Normally they can put a 48 foot flatbed trailer behind them. I see quite a few hauling military equipment here at Ft Lewis.
As for the rest of us, we shower at truck stops or our company depots. -
Here is your bathroom & shower

Go to Freightliner, Peterbilt or VolvoTrucks dot com and you can see the inside of trucks. There are stand up sleeper's with one bed and condo's with bunk beds. Condo's are preferred by companies because of driver comfort/retention and resale value.
Accessories can be bought or you can buy aftermarket stuff. Alot of truckers have little refridgerators, microwaves and TV/DVD.
Bathroom and showers are limited to a few owner operators that have them huge sleepers on the back that look like an RV of sorts.
