i'm not as sure the name of the school is as important as what they told him...and in all reality, just about ALL the schools that have financial aid from the government will pretty much lie to a student, as that federal money means more to the schools than anything else..

    To the OP,

Call recruiters and ask. Dig out the phone book and call the HR department of the companies. Be upfront and honest with them and a door will open. You'd be surprised on what a BG check can reveal.

Well in my case I've already had a back ground check from Nexis-Lexis and Choice Point, I tried USIS but they don't do Individual checks. All my BC came back clean as a whistle. You guy's do know that the only way a BC can come back with any crimes 10 years or older have to be done through the FBI. Trucking companies can not do FBI checks unless there doing contracted work for the Gov. Yes there are some brokerage Background check companies that have this kind of info but it is FAR !!!!! from nation wide. Yes Google and .gov and .org websites through the US government can teach you this information.

    78vette,

not sure where you get your info.

But, many background checks can go more than 10 years.

Jump in a big truck, start running canada.

    Enjoy !!!!!

well sorry to burst your bubble (but i will) if the company you go to work for requires you to have Hazmat endorsement or TWIC card, you're gonna get FBI checked.......there are even some local companies that require a BCI check (bureau of criminal investigations) usually done by your state D.A.'s office or the police dept.....and that ain't no Nexis-Lexis company either......so are you saying your state cannot go back more than 10 years...??? i highly doubt that.....

there may still be companies that do not require either, but those numbers are slowly dropping.....
