I agree with your post.
I also wish you got shower for fueling with regular fuel. I usually use my local YMCA for a gym shower when I am away (I am a member, and you can use any Y in the nation), but in the west coast, full-service Y's are far and few in between, and they've closed many of them for lack of patrons ... as opposed to the east coast, where they are wildly popular and are easy to find.
So I am forced to use the showers at TA, Pilot, Flying J, Petro, etc.

Packing a little jar of tides laundry pods, a small pack of dryer sheets, and a pill bottle full of quarters is good practice for laundry, whenever and whetever you can do it. There is always a magic mix of "is there enough time", "are laundry facilities available". I have travelled from training, thru 5 years of driving, using this practice. Showers, you can usually get one through the rewards card, as mentioned. Also, get a pack of "adult wipes" in the adult diaper section. These are large pre-moistened wipes (12"x12") and are a true blessing. You can wash your face, and do a freshening up, even wben you don't have time for a shower. While you are running team/training, your time/schedule will be weird.
