I have 4 years of experience in driving OTR (2003 to 2007), my last CDL expired in 2009, I came close to getting help to go back to school but screwed it up when i caught a felony back in march 2011. I've been told i have to wait 7 years till i can try to re-obtain a CDL. I do have over a 10 year work history prior to me catching this felony, can anyone help?

Good luck getting hired if/when you do get it back....
Check on the prospects of getting hired before you spend $$ and time to requalify....other avenues might get you a better return. With the CSA thing, companies are more concerned than ever about backgrounds....
You might be able to work as/for a landscaper for a bit...and move onto driving the truck to/from the jobsite...something along those lines to reestiblish youself, working and trust wise, and let a few years pass...

I have a few misdemeanors onmy record from 10yrs ago. I had to look and look and look some more to find a company that would even consider me. I got lucky and was able to sweet talk a small company into letting me drive for them. All I can say is good luck. You are probably done driving for the rest of your life.

yeah i think that this is all going to be a hindrance to you, this recent felony. you very well may have to wait several years, unless you do get lucky and some small company takes a chance on you..

good luck and try hard is all i can add.
