Up here in Canada, Tim Horton's is switching to VOLVO AT. Talking with a few of their drivers, going through city traffic it's great, stop and start on the 401 in Toronto is also nice to have an AT.
But another company who had AT's is moving them out of their northern terminals. NO good in snow and ice.
Never had a truck with auto. It's not a truck -
Its the only thing the US Army use's....which can be a pain to work on...lol Allison 5,6 spds and FMTV have a Allison 7 auto

CO does not, you can test on either but they don't put anything on the license. -
Again, this would have been years ago, when I was made aware of it. -

As others have already noted certain states put that restriction on the your license if you test on an automatic vehicle. I lived in Nevada and had it on my Nevada license. I moved to Utah and transfered my license over but Utah has no such restriction so thus it is not on my new Utah license.
Funny thing is if I move back to Nevada I can just transfer my license and will not have any restrictions. The restriction seems pretty pointless. -
