Well... awhile ago, Yahoo posted an article about a large number of trucking jobs available and how companies are having difficulty keeping them filled due to people not wanting them and high turn over. #Many comments said lots of negative things about the industry such as being paid close to minimum wage after expenses and long hours. #Other people have said they have made $75,000+ a year. #Could you all be honest with me and tell me if this is a good job or not? What are the pros and cons? #I'm a lost soul trying to find my place in the world and I have no idea about what career to pursue. #Any advice is appreciated, thank you!

I will say this, it is a tough industry. You can definitely make money, depends on the company you are with and how you want to run. Do a lot of research before you make the decision. Good luck.

When you look at the rapid decline of an once proud industry, the answer to your question is "NO". At a time in the past, trucking was a good choice for a person without a degree from a college and I have even known college educated people coming over and driving, but not now! I could make a list of "pros" and "cons" but my attenion span is too short and I know that you have better things to do today than sit here and read for the rest of the day.
