Well... awhile ago, Yahoo posted an article about a large number of trucking jobs available and how companies are having difficulty keeping them filled due to people not wanting them and high turn over. #Many comments said lots of negative things about the industry such as being paid close to minimum wage after expenses and long hours. #Other people have said they have made $75,000+ a year. #Could you all be honest with me and tell me if this is a good job or not? What are the pros and cons? #I'm a lost soul trying to find my place in the world and I have no idea about what career to pursue. #Any advice is appreciated, thank you!

trucking sucks. the only reason people are here is becuaswe they canj't find work. and 6 months later. when they get tired of not being home. they're still looking for work.

and with all the gtovt BS. teh turnover rate is going to get REALLY high come next year.

go to school. be a doctor or a lawyer

    Trucking can still be good.

Just avoid about 98% of the companies discussed on here.........

I will say this, it is a tough industry. You can definitely make money, depends on the company you are with and how you want to run. Do a lot of research before you make the decision. Good luck.

When you look at the rapid decline of an once proud industry, the answer to your question is "NO". At a time in the past, trucking was a good choice for a person without a degree from a college and I have even known college educated people coming over and driving, but not now! I could make a list of "pros" and "cons" but my attenion span is too short and I know that you have better things to do today than sit here and read for the rest of the day.
