I am starting at a new company and the truck does not have an inverter. After I have been there for awhile I will install one. In the meantime I would like to be able to heat some canned food . How do you heat cans in the lunch box cooker without pouring the contents into the foil pans? Can you punch a few holes in the can? If you do what keeps the contents from spilling? Do the truck stops have a bird if you use their microwave to heat your own pakages of food?
Thanks

I just peel the labels off the cans and stick them laying down in the cooker. When they're warmed up, I just eat it out of the can. I also line the bottom with foil and cook Hot Pockets, pizza rolls, ect.

Like the other poster said, most truck stops have microwaves in which you can use. You can also buy a very cheap, small plug in inverter that will work just fine for most of your electronics and small appliances. Probably the only thing it won't run is a refrigerator. You can get one at Walmart, Radio Shack, or if you are rich you can pick one up at a truck stop! Besides the little lunch box cookers you can also buy a small toaster over or even a little crock pot works really well! Some of these appliances you can buy with the cig. lighter cord already attached.
Personally I just got used to eating everything cold. It never really bothered me. I would eat lots of healthy soups, canned vegetables, beans, etc... I would also put a few packs of oatmeal in a solo cup and add some room temp bottled water and had a healthy breakfast! Solo cups help keep from doing dishes! Also would take a can of chicken or tuna and dump it in a freezer bag add some mayo and spices then zip it up and squish it all around until it was mixed. This also saved on dishes and was healthy too!
There are many little tricks you will learn or invent that will help you with your day to day chores out there that will make life simpler.
