I intend to make this thread an informal recap of my experience with Maverick from my class room training through getting in my own company truck.

    SO here goes ...

Finished orientation and started my 2 days in class training. We discussed the equipment used and the process for reporting loads. We also discussed a little about the Qualcom and the macros used to report certain things. We went over Canadian crossings and the required paper work and logging in Canada as well. After successfully completing the class I was assigned to a road instructor. He is currently at home and will be in touch on Sunday to set up a pick up time to get me on the truck. Today is Saturday 3/02/2013. I am in a motel by the truck stop twiddling my thumbs. Hurry up Monday. :biggrin_2558: I guess a couple of days rest will be good for now.

BTW - You do need steel toed boots for TCD.

I will be paying close attention to your thread Doyne! I see lots of posts from new guys complaining that there aren't enought posts about Maverick TCD on here- I know Flatt and RickSt (recently retired) and ExHawkeye have been trying to, but to have you run through your experience on here will be helpful to those who want to know more about this side of Maverick. I wish you the best of luck and stay safe out there!

Not everyone has to do the sleep apnea test. If your neck size is over 17" and your BMI is over 35, you will have to do a sleep apnea test. I didn't.

Thanks ..So if neck is under 17 " but BMI is over 35 do you have to take it ? ....Don't sound like a bad CO. I don't have any symptoms nor do i have S.A. .So i won't go there if i am forced into a test . Thanks again

I don't know about the either or of that. I know that if you do not have either you will not be required to take the test.

My neck size was 15 and BMI was 29
