As the years go by, you'll want to carry more and more. To the point and having your own truck so you don't have to move out. Then not wanting to upgrade to avoid moving out.
Also your list will depend on your type of trailer you pull. Some carriers want you to not touch anything.
Myself, I do it all, including washing and polishing the truck.Projektf350 and NJ Newbie Thank this. -
Bring everything!

Just bring a 3 pound hammer.. That'll fix it all...seriously though, it depends on what you're doing. But for the basics I carry a set of screwdrivers, a pair or two of pliers, a small socket set with torx bits, a small hammer and some duct tape. Also a pair of vise grips and hose clamps (I carry five inch hose clamps, they fit just about anything). Oh and a utility knife.

Gray duct tape, white duct tape, flat white spray paint, flat black spray paint; to cover up the damage you do & protect your DAC.....lol.

The bare (and I mean bare) minimum: 2 Vise-grips (one of them needle nose) Channel-locks, sidecutters, electrical tape, duct tape, couple small crescents, and a full screwdriver and bit set. Plus a hammer. I prefer a 3lb and a small crowbar, but a heavier claw hammer will work.
I carry all that plus one of Craftsman's toolbox/tool combos. About 250 pieces, and I can do everything but lugnuts. I also carry a 24" breaker bar, as well as a strap-style filter wrench and a fair selection of nuts, bolts and screws.TruckinWithJosh and NJ Newbie Thank this. -
Some gorilla tape can be useful. Maybe a heavy chain and a pulley just in case you need a tree limb to pull out the engine lol. Seriously some channel locks and a good flashlight among the things others have mentioned. As you go along you will have your sidebox crammed full of stuff.
NJ Newbie Thanks this.
