If you weren't a CDL license holder yet I wouldn't worry about it, but if you were, you have some explaining to do.

The instructor is wrong, Sure, there are companies that won't hire you right now, but there are far more that will. You'll find work when you get your license. Just don't get another ticket again.

You may not land the job you want. At least for the next couple of years, but you will find someone that will take you in. Maybe not making as much (because of not being able to land a good/decent company) but you will work.

This industry is to an extent even felon-friendly, so hang tight and keep your cdl clean.

They will see it as a bad thing even when you didnt have your A then, but its not lile everybody is gonna say no.

Go face to face instead of online applications, its easier and more detailed to explain yourself and that ticket in person than it is through an online app.

    Good Luck!!

Hopefully Chinatown (a frequent poster here) sees this thread and gives you some ideas as of to which companies to apply for.

I agree. You will find a job. Will be a little harder, some will reject you, but just keep trying. I had a 17 over 3 months before I got my CDL. Took a little time, but I found a good job.

Try smaller companies, they look at you as a person and judge more on who you are overall instead of just rejecting right away like some of the big companies

Go to traffic school and get it off your record. No, the stupid thing wasn't paying the ticket. The stupid thing was going 15 over the limit. Slow down hot rod!

You have a better chance then if it was found there was an active warrant for your arrest.
