I have been looking into a career change to trucking. I pulled my TX DPS record and I only have a single MVI Inspection Violation from September 2011. Does anyone think this will be a problem? I went and got my inspection done right away and got the new sticker and stuff.

Well from 2011 its at least 3 years old , should not be a problem truthfully it shouldn't show at all , unless it was a "I" intoxicated ticket that may pose a problem not sure what MV. I is ?

I'd guess he didn't get his car inspected and got a ticket for it.

That's right, my vehicle inspection expired and I got stopped at a "checkpoint" the Sherriff had setup under the feeder U turn. On the report it says Offense Date: 9/20/2011, Conviction Date: 10/25/2011. It hasn't quite been 3 years but that will pass in a couple of months.
Does this significantly hurt my chances at employment? -
I have a similar violation on my record in New York. It is not considered a moving violation and shouldn't be a problem. So far, any of the companies I've spoken with haven't seemed to care.

i hihgly doubt dought it.

That's known as an equipment violation, on par with a parking ticket. Will not be a problem.

Sweet, thanks all =)
