Is the benefits as good as people are saying .?
I will be starting school soon and then off to drivers training.
Are the roomies bad people and should I be cautious.?
This is the biggest step in my life since being laid off working for 21yrs.
Just a little apprehensive.

Driving

Hi,

Finally have a class a license, ready to drive and earn some cash.
Leaving Monday for Utah and working for Central Refrigerated Services Inc:
Driving with trainer Wednesday am.
I now have a postive attitude about driving and lots more respect for truckers in general.

Also In School {nov 07} Had Werner Recruiter In School Last Week Promise Everything . Handed Out Rulers Said Come Work For Us And We Do Your Log Books For U. I Asked How ?he Replied Tracking System We Know Were Your At. I Asked When Do I Know I'm Out Of Hours He Said We Take Care Of For You. So I Said That Means Big Blue Is Always Watching. A Student From Another Class Who Graduated 2 Months Ago Went To Work For Werner. 3 Weeks Training And Out On His Own. His 1 St Run Fl. To Tx. Broke Down 2 Day Wait To Get Truck Fixed. Another Driver Picked Up Trailer Finished Run He Got Paid For 720 Mi.had To Bobtail 400mi. To Get Reloaded. His Recruiter Told Him They Would Pay For His School If He Went With Werner. And Know There Telling Him No The Recruiter Was Wrong We Had The Same Guy Tell Us The Same Thing. I See Why There Called The Big Blue Screw

Do yourself a favor and don't believe everything a recruiter tells you. Remember they are being paid for puttin a body in the seat no matter what the cost! Don't jump at the first opportunity there are plenty of descent companies out there that will pay you descently for your services. Don't be afraid to ask questions that pertain only to you and what you expect from them. Do plenty of research of your own and bring up tidbits that you've heard when talking with recruiters. Don't let them tell you that it's just a angry ex employee, as we all know there are 2 sides to every story. It is still a good way to make a living and see the country as long as you keep your focus on what your specfic needs are. I hope this helps and wish all of you Good Luck with whatever company you decide to go with.
