They are a decent company. Not the best . But certainly far from the bottom.
-
I hear there training is no nonsense they will send you home for not putting your seatbelt on. Things like that they are good company if you can get past there bad recruiters that are to busy to talk to anyone.
-
you will begin to despise trucking at 62 mph or wherever roehl, pronounced "rail",has their trucks set.set your sights higher.
merely my $.02-
good luck regardless. -
The company's name is Roehl and its pronounced rail and they even have on their business cards "pronounced rail"
That should tell you enough to stay far away ,but theirs also other forums designed specifically for discussion companys.
ANyhow ,rail or roll or roehl or w/e the hell it is is crap and the only good thing is their 7 on 7 off plan but I'd rather just work for prime or someone for 6 months then turn in my truck and go south for the winter . -
On this website to into Good Bad trucking companies, go to the 3rd line that says Motor Carrier Questions then to Trucking company forums. Find Roehl and read. Lots to read and you should find a post or two on the region you are looking for. Roehl is a decent starting place. If that is all you are looking for time and miles then they should work. Was with them for 5 years (2 company, 3 O/O) and left to find greener pastures as an O/O.

I am also looking at them, they offered orientation 12/8 as I finish NTTS school about a week prior and then take the DMV test. Pay seems a bit low, but they only offer you the averages. I would be Northeast Regional dedicated Kraft run. So Eastern NY, MASS, NJ, PA, VA with runs into Atlanta, SC and backhauls to VA and Baltimore. I am flipping though between them, Shaffer, and H.O.Wolding.

When I worked there 11/2011 till 01/2013, I enjoyed it a lot. Did van for 6 months then went to flatbed. My dispatcher was awesome. I made decent money for my first year. I'd say use roehl as a starter company then move to better paying companies
dgarlow1 and skyviper73 Thank this. -
I talked to a driver that said if you allow the truck to go up to speed above 62 for to long while going down a hill because of the weight you'll get called from safety.
