Which type of by is the best for being OTR. CPM orperrcebtage. Some companies give the option for com and percentage and in just curious which is best.

For company drivers I've only seen flatbed offer percentage.
Right now national average for flatbed is $2 a mile + fuel http://www.dat.com/Resources/Trendlines/Flatbed/National-Rates.aspx
29% of $2 is .58 per mile
Of course you don't get paid deadhead miles
Unless you're on runs going to coast to coast % is probably the best way to go -
I'd say %%%% alllll day and twice on sunday

48 or 2/3 nation operation? Long hauls typical? Away for weeks? Mileage -

I say percentage. Unless, as someone said, you don't trust whoever it is you're working for. Just think it would be pretty ballsy of a company to lie about the rate but I suppose there are companies that have done that garbage.
