Hello,
I am working on a project loading and unloading trucks from one Barge to another Barge and then down a ramp.
Barge is 54 feet by 120 feet and need to make a 90 degree turn is it possible. See pictures.
In a worse case scenario with a the longest tractor trailer available 75' is it possible.
Help... Turning truck in small area

You should be able to make the turn. If the ramp connecting the two was right at the edge then it might be more of a challenge ...
The first thought that entered my head was the mission impossible theme song ... lol .. -

I would recommend you visit a truck stop, maybe try to take some measurements of a truck turning to give you a better idea of the obstacles a driver will face to better aid you in the planning process. You could always have the ramp angle out or fork out, so when the driver makes the right hand turn in there, if the trailer off tracks there will be less chance it will strike something with the rear trailer tandems(wheels).
The last thing you want to do is have something look good on paper but is a total hazard. How long will the trailers be? 45, 48, 53? How far back will their tandems be? What kind of tractors with what wheel base? Will you be able to paint the driveway leading in to the deck, to ensure other trucks will not park there, or people will not set pallets or other stuff down that will interfere with trucks entering in and out? Look at an air port taxiway where the plane docks at the air port. Everything is marked off and painted so no one park in the path of the plane, the same idea goes for the trucks. -
Well ultimately yes I would paint a runway on the barge
