honest recruitment?

Crete Carrier has a southeast regional program and they have some incentives for military I think.

 

Schneider also has dedicated runs in the southeast. Jcpenny, goodyear and stein mart just to name a few.

 

Word of caution... SNI likes to have their drivers hive-minded and not to oppose their rules and regulations. I can fake both pretty well, but after a while you just start to...-twitch.-

They really do like to force rules and regs though.

 

The only honest recruiting you're gonna find is from companies that don't need to recruit!

You want honest, or recruitment?

Frankly, you'll get recruited long before you get honesty, the military should have taught you that, and in the workaday world, not so much in honesty exists.

Take anything with a grain of salt, ask questions of some of us about particular companies, then make up your own mind. Some may push driving tankers, and you may not want that. Some may push reefer and that is not for you either, as well as flatbed, etc,etc.

One persons "ideal job" can be another's, Honest recruitment nightmare.

As an example, my company does strictly dedicated freight for several customers, from automotive to electrical as only a small sample. They DO NOT hire anyone with under 5 years experience. The pay is like a salary, but miss a day, and we do not get paid. Some salary, huh?

My route can be as little as 6 hours long, or up to 11-12 hours due to weather, accidents and such.

To me, it's an ideal job, to others, they would want a pay scale for miles, drop offs, pick ups, and home time.

I am home daily, and off Sats/Suns. Paper logs, leased Penske tractors, and purchased trailers. No boss at my location, he is only a phone call away.

I like this job, the boss however was NOT honest with me when he said, "no lifting at all, or very little"

Every freaking night, I gotta lift!

But he recruited me, right away!

 

A&R Logistics has home weekends. Make about $62K per year. This company waives the "one year experience required" for military veterans. Don't need tanker or hazmat endorsements because they haul dry bulk plastic pellets that aren't hazmat. Check the website.
