Hey guys I'm new to the forum, names Leon.
I applied for the city driver training program for ABF freight that they had openings for here in new York, i have my class A permit with doubles/triples, tanker & hazmat endorsements
Spoke to the supervisor on the 6th of this month via phone and said he was going to try and set up a interview the following week..
How long does it usually take to get a call for a interview?
Anywhere else you would recommend that has CDL training ?
Just looking for some advice
company sponsored CDL training

ABF is an excellent choice. Usually takes a few months to get started though since it's union.
If you want a quicker start then Earl Henderson Trucking is good. Three weeks classroom/local driving then hit the road with your trainer. Furnish hotel room & 3 meals a day plus transportation to their school. -
ABF would be better than many of your other options. YRC I believe may have training also, they are LTL also.

Thank you guys, so my best bet is to wait a little and then call him again?

Chinatown Thanks this.

I would most certainly call them again. This shows you want the job for life. I ain't never heard of anyone leaving ABF, Yellow, NewPenn -
