You may have to go back to school for a refresher course. you should have gone on the road asap from graduating.
Good luck in finding a job with no experience for the past 3 years. -
Contact Schneider Bulk (tankers) and ask if they will take you after a refresher course. You can make over $60K driving tankers and it's good trucking. There's some drivers out there making over $100K after a couple yrs. tanker experience.

There are opportunities out there for staying local but most drivers don't put forth the effort to knock on doors and hustle up a good job.
If the OP is lacking experience with trailers there are companies out there that will offer a two or three week refresher then he can either stay local or go regional and still be near family. OP check out Schneider, they have a lot of options but also check out CDL class a jobs on Craigslist and Indeed job boards. Lots of small companies hiring right now even in my Podunk area and I would think you should have more options up in the Northeast.
Good luck!truckon Thanks this. -
