Hi, I'm a driver that has about 6 months OTR experience and about 6 months local delivery experience, When I checked my vehicle record, it looks like it is a clean license with no accidents, I been in one accident in New York. Where do other drivers check there driving recored and, where do trucking companies find there driving records for drivers. When I went to trucking school the employment guy had said that all trucking companies get their driving records from the same place?
Thank you for any info, Michael

Hireright is being class action sued and I'm a victim. I haven't been able to get hired for 6 years because of them. When I pull my DAC, it's clean. When a company does, I'm uninsurable. I finally got Schneider to accept my app last week so I might be able to get a real OTR job that will get me the experience I need to get a dedicated job. Maybe.

Most companies check your PSP as well. Its a record of reportable accidents and scale inspections. The MVR is from your DMV showing any accidents or points on your license. Alot of smaller companies dont check your DAC.

The company will go through the DMV in your state for your record, many will check your CSA and PSP and run a DAC report. When you fill out an application you sign documents for all of these. Read what you sign. Just because you live in one state and had an accident in NY does not mean it will not show up on your record. States now share information.
