LMAO... peanut butter... uh... right!
Actually, lately I found out by trial and error that eating two big tubs of sorbitol-laden sugarless ice cream will clean out your system too. Six hours on the can and I don't have even one turd left in me.

I don't know of any SAP that don't cost you. I went through a SAP that cost 700.00. I am a veteran so the therapy I went through was free through a VA hospital. That saved me a lot of money alone, but the SAP counselor charges for the evaluation and release to safety sensitive duties. On top of that to meet DOT requirements you have to pass a minimum 12 random drops in a years time. This comes out of your pocket. Then have fun trying to find some one to hire you. Most companies want two years now for insurance purposes. Most companies I have gone to, will not touch me. At least for three years if at all. I don't mean to burst your bubble driver, but this is the reality of it. However, I did complete my SAP and if someone knows of companies that will hire a driver after SAP please let me know. Especially in the Grand Rapids Michigan area.

Of course some of the new guys don't know the rules. It's a leanring process. Some of us, just never get the chance to learn.ladyredrose23 Thanks this. -
I strongly encourage any driver, student, wannabe driver, to take a look at the FMCSR site before your next test. Read and become at least passingly familiar with the process . If there is *any* deviation from the approved steps, the whole test is void.
This is important stuff. An incorrect result can put a bad driver on the road, and can remove a good driver from a career. Do NOT simply accept that "they know what they are doing". Make sure they are, to the best of your ability. It's your sitdownupon that you are covering.ladyredrose23 Thanks this. -
I was at a company in Davenport Ia. for orientation. I was told that something was wrong with my test, that they had found something. They never said what it was and sent me packing.(left me stranded in Iowa) I made my way home and then got a call from the company to call the MOR. They asked some questions and told me they found cocaine in my test. I asked for the split sample to be done. To the best of my knowledge they never did it. Now it's on my DAC. I have completed a SAP program. Still can't find any work.

It's kinda late for this BUT: FOR FUTURE REFERENCE...
I worried about false positives... call me paranoid....
I did my own test at an approved facility ($60.00) and included it with my job application. Went to Transport America and they did another one of course.
I had a "clean" paper in my pocket already... and was thinking if I got screwed I'd freak out and pay for another one and then pitch holy heck to the lab, the company, and my lawyer.
Never happened of course, but I was prepared just in case.
Paranoid/prepared can have its advantages... -
Wasn't this poppy seed thing on Seinfeld?
