Schneider National out of Greenbay Wisconsin will do what you are asking..

They will pay for transportation (bus, plane rental car ext..) to training.
They will pay for hotel (Its a decent hotel and you may have to room with somebody)
They will cover breakfast (hotel lobby food, muffin, cereal ext.. but hey its free and gets you going)
They will cover lunch (at the training facility they have an outside vendor bring in food, its a full meal and not bad for what it is)
They will cover transportation to and from class.

(you pay for dinner yourself)

They will cover everything except the cost it takes you to get your CDL permit in order to attend training.. They also pay you for training, not sure how much it is now..

On top of that you get one of the best training facilities..
But as always it is up to you to take advantage of what they offer.. They provide everything you need to become a well trained driver.. just take advantage of it and don't be one of the idiots who is there just cause they have to be..

They used to require a year contract but I think they ask for a 1.5 year now.. You should stay with your first company at least a year anyways..

I have Narrowed it down

To either Prime or Schneider both seem to take care of their students while in training, Room and Board plus transportation, Both seem to have above average training both have as many bad post as good posts.
So unless there are any other companies that do as well as these two (and please let me know) then it's all a flip of the coin so far.

I'm a newb myself and will have to pay my dues like the rest, but you might look into PAM, PDS, CEX, AFS, DECKER TRANSPORT CO (all parts of the same corporation). I've no idea about their training, but their website propaganda says it's short, and they foot the bill, and you might even get a sign-on bonus. You've obviously been doing your homework, so take this for what it's worth (free info is worth what you pay for it).

Your Right they "Foot the bill" for the training but NOT for the room and board and food while at school, here is a quote from the web site for driver solutions that trains you:

"Are there any out-of-pocket expenses during the training?
Yes. Many students will need to travel from their homes to the training facilities. There are expenses for transportation, lodging, meals and license fees. Keep in mind, the company sponsoring your training will give you $200 to help cover these expenses."

Yeah, I read that statement too, but it's contradictory to other statements elsewhere. I've learned that website info is only good if it's kept updated. Some websites (or individual webpages within those sites) haven't been updated in years. Some sites (especially those that include lists of trucking companies or hiring requirements) are totally incorrect and misleading. I think this is responsible for some of the posts claiming "They lied to me!" Folks have to do their research, and validate it's accuracy. At this point, I've resorted to e-mail only to communicate with recruiters about important questions (gives me a record of their response), and I'll request copies of school contracts before I decide where I'm going. Things are changing almost daily at some of the schools and companies, so week old information needs to be confirmed at the last minute!

These do....

Prime, Schneider National and Wil-Trans the ONLY out of pocket expence while you are there is for the permit testing, they pay room and board transportation and Prime even gives you a comdata card with an advance.

So far thats what I have found and of those 3 I have chosen to start with Prime on the 29th of July

I am willing to sign my life over for a 2-3 yr contract as an endentured employee, I dont have the upfront costs to go to school to get my CDL, So I am doing what used to be called "Bartering" I will perform a service for you performing a service for me.

So being Facisious or not nothing is ever a "Free Ride"

Exclamation Roehl

A HUGE word of caution regarding Roehl's recruiters. I just got off the phone w/ 'Rob', who quite enthusiasticly told me that Roehl is not hiring any drivers nor CDL school grads from the NE U.S. News to me and, I'll bet, to the CDL schools up here too !! Roehl is suppossed to have a really good 'rep' as far as drivers, families and new folks starting out, or over in my case. This guy didn't even want to try to ask me any questions. Just 'Where do you live? and 'Oh, there. We don't hire from there."

But when Roehl's public and recruiting image is actually tested what do they do ? In my case they just tell me they are not hiring and run. Now I may not be the sharpest knife in the rack but even I know that if a company you want to work for craps on you, up front, you know sure as God made little green apples that the crap is only gonna get deeper and more expensive as time goes on.

I may not like it but at this point at least w/ Werner, Swift, Schnieder or Prime you know where the knife is coming from and what you have to do to protect yourself. Roehl's gonna have to do a major housecleaning to improve their recruitment if 'Rob' is any indication of what is coming thru the training pipeline. And if anyone wants to squawk, please do. Like the man from Missouri said "Show me".
