I drove for TMC for 8 months. Now I'm looking for a new company. I'm looking at Maverick and Melton. Anyone have advice on the two or someone better to work for?
Who is the best flatbed company to work for

I worked for Boyd Bros several years ago and regreted leaving, they treated their drivers fair and I had no problems with them. Be prepared to haul a lot of steel out and into the Chicago area and drive a speed regulated truck. The way jobs are now and I don't know your situation, but stay a full year where you are at and keep your nose clean. Mav. and Melton(runs Mexico) seem to be good companies and sure there is some disgruntled drivers that worked for them. Local companies will hire hire someone with one or two year experience, if you start job hopping you will ruin your work history like I did and nobody will consider you.

Why are all these companies going to ####? If your going to stay in business you have to treat your employees decent. Times are bad and and have to make sacrifices, but a lot of these companies where started by good ol' truck drivers. Well I guess it is like a company I previously worked for , company got big enough that old guy sells out, retires or has a younger generation take over that is cut throat and drivers are considered a dime a dozen.
