I myself am a Mason and I apologize to all of you that have had a negative experince with this fraternity. You have brothers that are not doing what they should I'll admit that, but there are good ones

Your post is appreciated and let me clarify . I know many Masons . The organization is like many others . You have your good and the bad and the bad ones are the one that draw the publicity .
I'll say one thing from experience . I worked for a small trucking company that had about and advertised paying $750 -$1000 a week . The dispatcher was a Mason . All the drivers making over $850 a week were Masons . The other drivers were lucky to gross $750 working 70+ hours a week .

Don't judge the whole fraternity on the actions of a few bad apples.

Thank you to those who replied. Like any state lodge has atty. groups and other combined I was wondering if there was a group for Masonic truck drivers. Thats all. Ive only been doing OTR for 2 mos. and enjoy the profession. The good with the bad of course. I personally think that somebody should get a load like any other worker. They deserve just as much. Thanks again.

It seems you already contacted a few Masonic drivers here . If they don't know of one why don't you go to Yahoo and start one yourself ?

you're welcome shriner75. I also agree that a person status should not dictate loads or have any impact on how many miles they are getting. I can't emphasise it enough, there are good people in this.

Are you telling me people wearing the rings and displaying the emblems on their vehicles aren't doing it to get preferential treatment from other Masons ? I know they do it for advertising to try to recruit members .

we as masons don't recruit. If a person wants to be a mason all they have to do is ask. I see alot of truckers with masonic symbols on their trucks. I think it's mostly for recognition not recruiting

They do it just so that another brother will recognize them as a mason, it is a conversation starter. Just like a college or high school class ring. It shows that the two men share a common experience, and gives them a common point of interest for discussion. If you really want to know what masons are about, ask one, please do not assume that you have an accurate view of masonry until you have sat in lodge with us.
