| typically, i do not vote in online polls, but frankly, for this i felt i had to. Swift all the way. i have seen way too much of Swift drivers stupidity. do a search on my other posts to see what i say about Swift........it ain't good at all, and the government has been "dogging" Swift as well. |

| You mean the worst of the hugantics? I assume by your list you're talking about the huge companies. There are some small companies out there that are worse than Swift, but I'm sure you know this. I'm talking 12-cents-per-mile and go-to-Hunt's-Point-Market-every-other-run kinda bad. You can see some of these companies' trucks on I-10 in west Texas doin' 125 at 3 in the morning. Usually, these companies have 5-10 trucks, are reefer, and are owned by immigrants. Most of their drivers are immigrants as well from places like Romania, Russia, etc. Yeah, Swift is at the bottom of the barrel, and I'd never work for them again. But there are companies that are under that barrel. Some are several inches in the dirt below that barrel. Last edited by Tip; 06.14.2006 at 10.42 PM.. |

so, that being said, Swift first, Werner second, and J.E.Leto third. Swift has been the "new" JB Hunt in regards to students drivers making terrible mistakes, but i gotta wonder if its the school training, or the "student driver trainer" training the new recruit........?? what ever posessed Swift to make raw trainee's into driver trainers with as little as 3 months of actual road experience. again, the blind leading the blind. as for Werner, i remember it was so difficult getting on with them. they "DEMANDED" 2-3 years driving experience before they even opened up your application. J.E. Leto is a company out of New Jersey (green tractors, with a white circle around the name) and i'll tell you what, don't try to pass these guys, as they are usually falling asleep and when they see you, they "step on it", swerve, and speed up.............stay away from THOSE trucks, when in the NY/NJ/CT areas.......... |
