If you want to go bankrupt lease your tractor on to Triple Crown. There biggest custommer is Ford plant. A horrible place to go in and out of. Dont ever turn a load down, or they will starve you. The terminal manager in Kansas city is an idiot. Never even been behind the wheel of a truck and that goes for most of dispatch and safety. Their trailers are junk. Filthy, broken, and any DOT cop will put you out of services. Broken cross members, holes in ceilings and floor boards is common, not to mention must of them are missing brake parts. I dont think they maintain them and god forbid any kind of ice on them. You wont be able to adjust the mode valve for hiway transfer, and they dont ever grease the landing gears so good luck dolling them up and down in the winter. Actually for any time of year. THERE JUNK. I also forgot to mention its a 50/50 on the air ride suspension.
The permits are high. The insurance is high. They pretty much nickel and dime the driver.
Your first month will be great there, but after that it slowly tapers off. If you complain to dispatch they will ignore you. what do they care! They are sitting in a cube collecting a salary paycheck. If you complain to the terminal manager, (kansas city) he will listen, but he dont care. for the same reasons as dispatch. He might hook you up for a week, but after that you will be going right back into the ford palnt all day or night.
The ford palnt run pays the driver $28 for the pickup and $20 round trip in mileage depending on fuel surcharge that week. Its a joke man. YOU WILL NOT MAKE MONEY AT THIS COMPANY.
God forbid your tractor breakdown, cause once your in Triple Crowns pocket. Your definetly ######. They got you by the balls then.
Good luck.

I worked for TC as a company driver thru a driver lease agency called Transforce.
They flew us out to Ft. Wayne, IN. for a 2 day orientation at a nice hotel, etc.
They treated us pretty good for about a year and a half then we were sold out
to a lower bidder on that contract ( eastern PA).
They turned the whole operation over to O/O.
I've stayed in touch with a couple of guys there and they have since left
cause they were getting screwed & tatooed on their settlements.
From what I hear they have scaled back the operation by half
and there are rumours that they might shut it down entirely.
And so it goes in the truckin biz... -
i have been leased on to tcs for 20 years.not once have they screwed me.if u over buy a truck and refuse to run daily u may lose yer tail.but otherwise i have nothing bad to say.they are one of the best as far as i can see.

That's why it ALWAYS PAYS OFF in the long run to do a thorough research on the company that you are considering to work for, whether you want to be a company driver, or O/O. ALWAYS do a THOROUGH REASEARCH on that company! There's just way TOO MANY bad trucking companies in this country operating.
