Im convienced that all Trucking companies are all one in the same after my experiences with the crap companies I got mixed in with. I mean They will paint you a pretty picture but up close its ugly as hell. And No Trucking Company that is dencent will give a graduated student like myself a chance to prove there self. Its a dissapointmnet that Companies will hire convicted child molesters and such just to save a few dollars on insurance. I think no convicted felon has no place on these highways. Futhermore trucking compines in genreal have very poor bussiness practices by hiring these losers. If there is one half way decent interstate transfer Carrier still opreating that is fair to new drivers meaning students my thoughts may change. And keep the Convicts off the road and drive em right back to there cell block were they belong. let the good guys win for a change

So, you would rather have the roads filled with newbies with zero experience, then have experienced truckers who were given a 2nd chance to make something of their life after a terrible or dumb mistake?
I graduated from a community college truck driving school in May. I found a job with a GREAT company that hires students.
Maybe rather then trying to pick a fight with felons you should open your eyes and maybe you'll find that there are TONS of companies that hire students. You need to EARN your place in this industry.drvrtech77, Guitar Man, 123456 and 3 others Thank this. -
The OP should be glad the ex-felons are trying to CHANGE their life..With the formula he/she has, make a mistake....go to prison for life...And,in my lifetime,I have run across many "losers" who have never done time, and vice versa..
123456 Thanks this. -
Guitar Man and Beechvtail Thank this.

Hey I made a stupid mistake when I was eighteen and got charged with a felony. I'm now 46 does that mean I should not be a loud to work because I was stupid and young?
I was just standing outside a place that a friend of mine decided to go in and steal some ice cream. Just because I was charged with a felony does not mean I should not be able to work in the trucking industry.
Not all trucking companies are the same. I happen to enjoy where I am at right now. The people are nice and I enjoy my job so far.
Some of the best people I know have a felony and to tell them they should not be able to work in trucking is just well wrong.
Sounds like someone is having a problem finding a job! -

Maybe the OP is having so many problems because they do not have a grasp of the English language? Companies do not need the senseless headaches of log book fines when the DOT officers would not be able to understand what is written.
At least most of the ex-cons are trying to improve themselves. How about some remedial English classes? -

That wasn't an insult, it was a suggestion. Everyone should work to constantly improve themselves. I do all the time.
