There is no difference. And what does companies paying short miles have to do with anything? You don't cry for them when they eat deadhead miles, or unnecessary out of route personal miles, do you? Didn't think so. If you don't like how they pay, quit. You have the same choice there as you did with choosing not to get a twic. No-one is bowling over and taking it in the shorts by paying peanuts for a twic card. I could understand the frustration if you're one of those drivers that advances everything out of your check and lives paycheck to paycheck on what is left. Other than that I don't get it. The only limitations a man has are the ones he places on himself. You need to get rid of that chip on your shoulder.

 

We get it already you don't like them. Worked there in the 80's + 90's it was good back then.Drivers put to much into this new crap.

2 sides to every story, I really love the one about "buying your own mattress" You buy your own mattress COVER and you can take it with you just like your TWIC and Passport. As for turnover, look at any OTR company today ( Excluding Walmart, UPS, etc ) and they have 120% turnover or more.
Take it from someone who has been here for years and happy, call the recruiters, be willing to actually work and not sit around and play video games all day in the truckstop and you'll see the bottom line.
