This company may sound good on the out side or i orientation but it is not. I have been working for them a few years and i am doing this because another webber driver just called me and this treament of the driver must stop. This company pays know layover on the weekends and if there is any during the week they try to send you a few miles so they want have to pay you. you set at pick ups and deliveries for long hours and the company does not want to pay or its a hassle to get some pay for your time. if you are not in with dispatch or the terminal manager your home time or load selection is slim. dispatch is all but worhtless this company is not worth it

This tactic isn't just a "Webber exclusive" That is one of the problems with big otr outfits,...this is nothing new by any means. I had been hauling bulk chemicals for years when JB started offering I think at the time .42 a mile based on exp.. I was right at the top of that. Worked out of a satellite terminal and was doing GREAT for about 6 weeks...Picked up preload on East Coast...dropped on West Coast...6 miles down the road picked another and back to the EC. Then "central dispatch" happened...within 2 weeks I quit. Same krap you speak of ...sit 22hrs then go down the road 8 or 9 miles to pick up a load that doesn't exist or that was already picked up. Did a couple other things since then (thats been what? ... 15 years or better now) for the last 8 yrs I've been with a no benefits co. hauling produce... I'm home 3 or 4 days a week (run 2 or 3 short trips a week..sometimes less) and lovin it. Drive a beat-out ole bedroom shoe classic (that will pull most any hill with ease)..AC blows cold...gotta sleep number mattress (which sees me on it for a short nap every now and again). But yea...these big outfits pull that kinda crookery all the time. Chasin numbers and bene's ain't necessarily where its at. Don't get me wrong...these folks I work with will try and mess with my money every now and again...but I quickly call them out on it and they always do the right thing... best of luck finding something your happy with!
