GSTC , GORDON SEVIG TRUCKING , WALFORD , IOWA ! You know before these DAC reports & the CSA2010 came about , a trucking company was just happy if a driver returned thier truck in good shape ! If you did that & did not cause trouble , you parted company in good shape . Now if you do not do everything thier way to thier liking , you get RED check marks on your DAC report ! Because now they have away to screw our lives up ! Amazing that you can clean-up a companies truck inside & outside , even reshine the floor ! Then return it & all thier company belongings to thier shop & office , still they are NOT happy , they have to screw-up your life by RED checking your DAC report ! I wonder if they had to give a driver a 2 week notice to fire a driver how that would work ? Drivers beware & be sure you follow thier way to the LETTER so they can NOT screw-up YOUR life ! These 2 new programs are only designed to screw a driver & protect the company ! Your only means to dispute these RED marks is to file a dispute charge & wait 30 days for a answer . What we do for food , bills & money until then is OUR problem !!!!! I would NOT advise anyone I know to become a truck-driver or would I ever tell another person that GSTC is a good company to work for !

Yeah, CSA is all about protecting the company...that's why they get points if even if they fire you for your actions. But you do give out some good advice, you should always follow company policy to the LETTER when you are leaving a company.

GSTC - not only did they screw up my D.A.C. they also lied about an Accident/incident on my report ! I went to Shokopee , Mn. to drop / hook a loaded trailer & noticed damage to another one of our trailers next to my loaded one ! Called dispatch , took photo's & talked to the company where it was at & they admitted it was the night shift yard drivers fault ! After contacting "HireRight" for my DAC report , I see this listed as my fault , What a bunch of lying idiots !! SO , BEWARE THE IDIOTS AT GORDON SEVIG TRUCKING CO.

You can always dispute anything on your DAC. I was in the sleeper at an Idle-Air and my truck had not been turned on for several days.. Got there Friday for a Monday drop. I had someone bump the trailer from behind. Luckily I was awake and grabbed my camera. They were trying to slowly drive away. I got them to stop and took pictures. Reported it to safety. It came back as a preventable accident on my Dac. I disputed it and put down what happened. I also told HireRight for them to pull the truck logs from the QC to have them explain how I can be driving a truck that was off and I was in the sleeper. The company changed it to a non-preventable.

If you have documentation then dispute it with HireRight. The company has 30 days to respond or else it will be taken off.

Yep, here is the link for your free copy and to dispute it.

    http://www.hireright.com/Consumers-Applicants.aspx#RequestForm

Hireright lost a lawsuit last year for the very same thing. They are skiddish when it comes to disputes and unless the company has hard evidence it will be removed or changed. They just can't blatantly put erroneous reports on there any more and expect them to stick.

After companies lose a few disputes they'll start catching on. Many don't want to fool with defending a dispute.

It's worth your time to fight it.

Thank you , I have already tried a "Dispute" & got nowhere with it ! Thats why I use this site , I have never said anything that was not true about a company mad or not ! I just do NOT think there is any good trucking companies left ! The best one I ever worked for went under & was bought out , then went from good to very bad ! What has happened to the "American Trucking Industry" ? Why do these trucking companies feel they can screw with drivers like they do ? 30 years OTR & Local left with the feeling that I have wasted all that time ! D.A.C. & CSA2010 good or bad thing ?

Thank you , when I got my DAC report from "HireRight" is when I discovered the trailer thing was added to it ! Maybe I did not try hard enough , but the people you contact for a dispute are very short with drivers calling in , or atleast the one I got was !
But , you as a staff member , I have a question for you . How does one go about changing thier Identity on this site ? I was a little rushed when I chose "chrome mack" & am interested in changing that , any idea's ?? Thank you .

I just filed a second dispute , we will see where it goes ! But , I must say I have little faith in the world of trucking in the new age ! If this was 5 years later I would just retire & say screw trucking ! :-0

PM bullhaulerswife, MasterTech or Admin with a new screen name and they'll gladly change it for you.

Do a written dispute on that link I posted. Then there is a record.

You should have a record of what trailer you were attached/picking up. If this was another company trailer and you have pictures, then submit the pictures... Did you send the info back via QC if your company uses it?

Have HireRight force the company to show you were attached or were assigned that trailer.

Just a note... you sound angry ... this could affect the conversation. I did mine completely by E-mail. Write the E-mail and then put is as a draft. Come back in a day or two when you are in a better frame of mind and look again at what you wrote..

stick to the facts. How/what/why/where. Do not go off on different angles that has nothing to do with the statement on your Dac in dispute.

If you want you can send me the E-Mail and pictures you draft and let me see how it sounds..

    I would start out.

On x day of x month, x yr, I "name" in truck x attached to trailer x arrived at x location (address) as per my load xxx. In dropping trailer xxx and then finding trailer xxxx per load number xxx, I noticed another one of our companies "xxxx" trailer next to my loaded trailer xxxx. I noticed damage to trailer xxxx. Being a dedicated driver I immediately called our companies dispatch at xxx-xxx-xxxx at xxx time on xxx day, xxx month, xx yr and spoke with xxxx to report the damage. I also brought this to the attention of the company xxxx whose yard I was in. xxx (name), xxx address and they did admit that the night shift yard driver did admit to the damage to trailer xxx when they were moving trailers around. I did take pics (see attached).

This incident of the damage trailer was in no way/shape/or form was done by me in the line of my duties as a driver for company xxxx. I saw the damage in picking up my loaded trailer xxx and did report it back to company xxxx to let them be aware of it.

Company xxxx has issued this incident to my DAC. Since I in no way/shape/ or form caused the damaged but simply reported to company xxxx in lieu of my duties picking up trailer xxx I would like this removed from my DAC report.
