I have been with Swift Transportation for 7 months now. I have earned, on average, about $100.00 a week for the majority of that time.

I have never been late on a load or damaged a load. I have done everything in my power to get miles but they continue to keep me short in spite of my spotless record.

Their "Benefits Package" is a scam. The only ones benefiting from it is Swift. Not the drivers. Also, Swift's "Safety Program" is a joke. It has nothing to do with making things safer for the drivers and everything with maximizing profit for the company at the expense of the drivers. Drivers, though they are the ones who actually earn the money the company makes, are treated like second class citizens.

If anyone is looking at the possibility of going to work for these scam artists, run the other direction as hard and as fast as you can.

I will post my resignation letter here with all the details of how I was donkey-raped by Swift once I have it finalized and ready to turn in.

So you are one of the higher paid Swift drivers.

Perhaps. It sure seems like once you get out of your mentor's truck, if you are not running a team, they screw you every way they can.

I've been with swift since August and there has to be more to your story you aren't telling us. If you made 100 a week for 7 months or the majority of your time there, there would be no need for you to resign you would have had pcrs to the roof after they tried working with you to increase your miles. You had to be turning down load after load, the truck had to be in the shop for months on end and you would have more than likely found something before this point if swift really was the problem. Their truck made next to nothing for "7" months and they didn't do anything about it? Not likely. You would have been long long let go. Fill everyone in with the facts if what you say is true.

There's your problem, you're too good of a driver.Start having a no care attitude and see if that works.

I got off my mentor truck and I haven't been screwed. You must have been doing something extremely wrong. Or if I go by your attitude, didn't make a good impression? I'm not bashing you but as much as people complain about swift it comes out to be that persons fault 99.9% of the time. I'll explain, driver meets DM, first thing out of his/her mouth, I want to go home every two weeks. I won't run here, I will turn down this load, that load, etc unless it's going here, or there. I'm going to be rude, curse at you, disrespect you and anyone else I want because I'm the driver and I'm the gift to you, I don't have to work here. I'm doing you a favor. I'll work when I want to work. I won't drive at night. I want to sleep 14-16 hours a day. It goes on an on. You can't do any of these things and then turn around and blame the company. Like I stated before, there is more to this story. Not bashing you but this doesn't add up at all.

He also said benefits package so my assumption is insurance and class repayment. That sort of thing. I have all this and average 300 a week running 3000 miles. I hate this company with a passion but totally understand the monetary end of it. If you had a family its very hard to make a living especially otr. Dedicated its a different story altogether. Best week 560 average 300 roughly for insurance etc. Way to #### expensive for a family of five. It's not a lack of mileage at Swift people want to hang out all day.. My dm hates me as do the planners but I do get my miles. 5 more months then out of here.

How does one live on $100 a week for 7 months? What's the real story?
