Seems too cramped for me. My spouse agrees, he has chosen the 387. The stickshift is in the way when you want to move to the back. The bed is smaller too.

The new 387's they are getting in are 9 speeds instead of 13 and from what the drivers tell me, they are castrating the petes and they have no jake under 30mph

I also found out that many of May's trucks shut down after 5 minutes of Idle time.

My truck which is a older frtln which has turned into a lemon so I have been driving a even older truck of a different model since last Sunday and it sucks. my truck is not governed or does it shut down unless you turn the key off and the tranny operates quite smoothly for a older truck. This pile I am driving now has a rock hard and elevated clutch and fuel pedal matched with a sloppy shifter with so much play in it I busted my knuckle on the dash in 3 and 7th gears. Can't wait to get my truck back since it has been quite stressful driving this ill steering over weight truck I have now compared to my frtshkr.

For drivers considering May let me tell you to go with the 48 refer division.

better miles, and better trailers is the main reason. These 12yr old Alloy 14'ers I keep getting are a pain on the back roads and I did 20 loads in the last 2 weeks and only did 4818 miles running dry frt and 1 refer load.
My truck problems are the main reason and because they have a lot of short runs on the dry side.

The equipment is so poorly maintained on the dry side that I really don't see myself driving with this company in the winter. My truck in the last 2 weeks has had to have the fuel flow regulator replaced the fan clutch rebuilt a injector replaced and many trailers in my opinion are unfit to drive due to air leaks, bad tires, brakes out of adjustment and tandems that off track so bad you can barely keep them in your lane not to mention the rusting landing gear and bent up slider bars and missing or bent up landing gear crank handles.

Other then that everything is going great:biggrin_255:

Yeah my buddies drive the first generation 387's that May bought and they aren't shut down as bad as the new ones.

48 states is what I did with most frieght going from the northwest to the northeast. Lots of miles but in a governed truck it took me an extra day when loaded near gross. Which like I said was almost always.

I remember all the repairs and being put out of service for the needed repairs.

Be careful this winter and good luck with whomever you decide to drive with.
