I have been driving at A.D. over 4 years now,it has been a good experience for me. I live in SE Michigan have never had a problem getting home when I requested . I usually get over 3000 miles a week easily. If you are motivated and manage your time properly you can get all the miles you can log. Sometimes the loads don't have much extra time and pick up in the middle of the night but that's better than sitting around waiting to me. There are a lot of d+h and most of the loads are pre-planned. I rarely am sitting. I have never had a problem getting detention or layover pay .Its true they want you to try to get to a shop if you are having a mechanical problem, service trucks are expensive. Its a minor inconvenience to have to return the tires not a big deal. I was at one of the big companies with thousands of trucks before this so compared to that this is a dream come true. That's my experience everyone has different perspective and expectations.

Yes I am really a driver for A.D. Transport. It was my first post ,I have been reading the forum for a while and decided to join when I saw this .If anyone has any questions I will try to answer them. I also wanted to say I think the driver that started this thread was probably fired for something we don't have the whole story.

My husband has been with AD since 2011.. For the most part they are really great to work for. They try to get us close to 3000 miles a week but sometimes beyond there control it doesn't work out. They arent perfect but no company is. you have to take the good with the bad.. I have heard of alot worse.
truckinmike1984 and bama339 Thank this. -
sorry you had a bad exp with ad redhawkdiver but first let me say this i am a driver for ad and everything you said i think is bs i have been driving a truck for 35+yrs and this is one of the best companies i have ever worked for i get all the miles i can run every week layover pay is automatically added to my check without me asking you dont have to bring a tire back to yard just take a picture of it with your phone (this co has a small pct.of tire failure on road) ive never had anyone yell at me here and one thing else i live in south alabama and when i put in to go home iam always there when i ask and they ask me how long i want to be home any thing wrong with my truck gets fixed at there shop when wrote up maybe you need to stand back and take a look at yourself.anyone that is a good driver that wants a good co. to work for call ad its what you make it

kinda funny how a 1 guy reports his bad time with a co. and all of the sudden there is 3 people posting how great this co. is but nobody started a thread in good truck section
Call_Me_The_Breeze, Steel Dragon, zentrucking and 2 others Thank this. -
As I have stated here in the past, with A.D. Transport you will be threatened with the loss of your job if you don't fudge your log book and run illegal. Why else would a company with approx. 300 trucks have 5-10 drivers in orientation every week.
Call_Me_The_Breeze Thanks this.
