Triple d is another one of those Chicago Russian companies by the sounds of it. My own company has a specific list of penalties for getting shut down, speeding tickets, wrecks, etc but nothing that extreme, just mostly from drivers getting stupid in the past. And even then at least they try to work with the driver.

Anyone who signs on with a company like this needs their head examined.I bet everyone of those drivers doesn't receive the pay that's coming to them every week.

    BigBluePeter and bigdogpile Thank this.

Thats disgusting, If any driver signs a paper that looks even half as bad as that one does, then you deserve what you get.
Driver please post the company name so no one is lured into wasting time and energy never mind maybe money to apply at this place.

Can anyone tell me if they have applied anywhere and have the companies fax or e-mail them all the papers they will be required to sign ... before they get to orientation.
I would like to know if anyone has asked or received such papers.

Also are you an O/O ?
And what does the word "Familier " mean --its french and i can see it under the blacked out part of that contract ?

pattyj have you ever signed anything like that and have you ever asked for all the papers to be signed "Up front".
I am actually so pissed from seeing that contract cause i know people signed it --and it looks like they are capable of taking everything you own --(read it closely --i really like the open ended parts like the deductibles.

I have never ever seen a policy like this. Most are ridiculous ,very high cost for everything. This is how this company makes a profit by hireling drivers to drive for free.I wonder how many are in the hole.[QUOTE="Hang - Man";3923333]pattyj have you ever signed anything like that and have you ever asked for all the papers to be signed "Up front".

    Thanks pattyj.
joseph 1135 you just started anew with your company --what kind of forms did you have to sign and what if any kind of fines or deductibles are on them ?
I just cant believe some of the stuff that's going on in "Trucking" and what some of these companies are getting away with.
I hate to say this cause i really dont like this organization, but i think someone needs to contact an organization like the ACLU.
To the drivers who sign a paper like that or did sign that actual paper swing by my house so i can dump a bucket of @#$%% on your head --same difference.

    pattyj Thanks this.

I'd roll that paper up in a ball and throw it at him. If you do any of that stuff you have to pay the DOT. Why should you have to pay the company too? Who are you Judge Joe Brown? :)

A 1099 ought to be a flag the person tries to cut too may corners for the all mighty dollar. I see a direct connection with 1099, ignoring regulations, shoddy equipment and whatever they can do to pinch a penny.

Find you a company that does things the right way. There is no such thing as declaring a company driver as a contractor. You drive their equipment, they control where you go, you are an employee. They are just dodging their responsibilities of paying taxes, workers comp and social security match. Hence a tight wad!

There are a bunch of fly by night outfits out there and equally a number of good companies. Do your homework and find the good ones. The bottom line is you are out there to make money and keep your CDL. It's hard to do that when someone is trying to rob your paycheck.

If that person is so concern about employees tearing up his stuff then he needs to do a better job at choosing who he hires.

    Condocuiser -good post.
But that contract has nothing to do with tearing up equipment, That has every thing to do with driver enslavement.
That has everything to do with not letting that driver leave with any of his pay money should he quit and maybe even more in the hole should he/she have an incident /accident or anything else.
Note the fine/fee for no 15 day notice before quitting -right there they plan on taking 15 days pay plus.

Sometimes i think you drivers are to close to the situation and the lines are blurred cause its business as usual.
You drivers really need to ban together and get organized and stop butting heads against each other, it sure seems like time may be running out.
    Someone step up!
To the O/P sorry for jacking your thread --i am just so @#$%N% mad after seeing what you posted.

Well at least they sent him that part of the contract, but again it's just would be silly and foolish to sign on for that, be thankful that they were not sneaker than that and have the wording just as something like, driver can be fined fees and or penalties at times..... You sign the contract start working and then it's pointed out to you that it's in the fine print, on page 2 and you didn't request page 2 and sign it...

why is it so important for others to just pay people slave wages while they sit on their big fat rumps and just expect to get paid to do nothing
