Basically it's another one of those Chicago Russian companies that FMSCA needs to shut down permanently.

 

OP is working for another quality outfit now in greater Chicagoland....

 

Most of these companies out of Chicago are really, really bad with the exception of MultiGroup, which had to straighten up or they would have been shut down. MultiGroup really cleaned up, new trucks, APUs, and from what I hear from a friend, possibly going to E-Logs. I should ask him if they are still a 1099 company, they used to be one anyway.

 

More like downright scary.

 

And nowadays they named Cadence Premier Cargo,inc. There's changed nothing but names.

 

I live in Chicagoland and you couldn't pay me enough to run for any of these shady operations. The amount of ... we'll keep it polite and say people of eastern European origin driving around like bats out of hell not giving a #### about safety or professionalism makes me sick. I work in Garbage here and it seems like their personal mission to cut off garbage trucks and make our lives harder.

 

I guess it depends on what u r looking for. I currently work for one of these outfits. Newer equipment, repairs done immediately, 75 mph, paper logs, no Qualcomm or anything to beep , dispatched by text, run hard as you want - they throw it out there and u let them know when u can deliver, home every weekend, avg 1650 / wk direct deposit , 1099 or taxed, your choice, i choose my route, park in my yard in Tennessee every weekend, if i need to be home for something just let them know.

I was looking for old school. Leave me alone, minimal rules, etc. I run hard, make good money for a company driver, home every weekend

 

If they're honest they can be a decent gig. It's the ones that look for any excuse to stiff you on pay that you have to watch out for. Glad to hear it's working out for you driver.
