If they put weight restrictions on drivers there'd be a ton of parked trucks!

I wasn't seriously proposing that. They are putting restrictions on weight now, but doing it piecemeal so nobody notices. I would just prefer they be upfront about it.

I think most people get upset with the forced use. Where is the machine for making sure you are taking your medication, wearing your glasses, etc. Maybe people don't want or need someone telling them how to sleep, you know grown up people.

The machine that well tat you out for not taking blood pressure meds is called a sphygmomanometer. The dip strip in your whizz will bust you for not keeping diabetes under control. Eye charts are a decent means to control whether you have glasses on. My med card notes I have to have lenses and hearing aids. Grown ups understand sometimes thing suck but it's life and they deal with it instead of crying about it.

And none of those are required daily, that's kinda the point. I feel grown and I don't think I need someone to tell me how to sleep. You could easily drive without glasses and within seconds put them on in the event of an inspection. If you forget you diabetes meds for a day nobody is going to know. Sometimes people don't like Big brother and instead of just taking it people complain and voice their displeasure. Sometimes it changes things, like Congress getting involved in this sleep apnea crap. But just keep laying down, do the grown up thing.

At least you finally conceded that following sound medical advice is the grown up thing.

One the company can't dictate what my medical options are. Now I understand when it comes to pain medications or ones that may cause you to be sleepy, that's on the federal level. How ever when it comes to treating this made up condition, the FDA has approved several options. The cpap (mini leaf blower), Oral device, band-aids that has a valve in them that you put under your nose. Then the surgery option which even then the docs don't know what to cut out to "cure" this. How ever the company forcing me to only use cpap is tantamount to them saying I can't take Metformin for my Diabetes and instead have to use Prescription X cause it's "Company Policy". Schneider does not have that legal authority to state what prescriptions I can use out side of what the DOT already states.

To those that think this machine is helping you may I point you to the placebo effect. Sometimes patients given a placebo treatment will have a perceived or actual improvement in a medical condition, a phenomenon commonly called the placebo effect. It only works cause you think it's working.

You've got some monumental gall to make this asinine statement. Just as you're so ###### sure you don't need treatment, those of us who use CPAP faithfully are sure we'd be in far worse shape without it.

Quite possibly the dumbest thing I've read in awhile. Another truck driver that is smarter than everyone else in the room.
