Celadon? Can't see them trusting their drivers with a high dollar truck such as a Lonestar. Cookie cutters, like the Prostar and the Columbia or Cascadia, but not the top of the line models......But I thank you Ditch Doctor for the response.

#####....I stand corrected. I think I'm ready for the box now, I done seen it all. A company offering a brand new, high dollar truck for pennies a mile, no pay if the truck isn't moving, and all them other "extras". Only thing I can't figure out is their come on line, saying they listened to the drivers and answered with this. Heck, if they were gonna listen, I would have asked for a W900, or a Coronado, with a 156" ICT custom bunk, Generator, Pre-emission 650 Cat engine and 18 spd transmission, with 292 rear gears opened up full, not a 13 letter ###### spreader......But that's just me, of course...
Bumper, LindaPV and freightlinerman Thank this. -
The Lonestar is not a "high dollar truck" unless you spec it that way. International has taken the "put lipstick on a pig (prostar)" idea to a new level. If they have the maxxfarce engine, they still won't be able to get any decent trade allowance from them, fancy hood or not.
Wingnut1 Thanks this. -
I think Navistar still has the original Harley Davidson Lonestar. No body was interested enough to even make them an offer. I drove it last year in Alabama.

Must have touched a nerve, or insulted a cornbinder aficionado. My apologies. High Dollar means a lot of money for NOTHING. You spend a lot of money and get hardly anything of value in return, no matter how it is spec'd out. But don't take my word for it. Just waddle yourself down to the Cornbinder dealer (they are over off of the 12 loop, on the west side of Dallas), go up to one of them fancy salesmen, and tell him you want one of them Lonestars, and ask him what the price of one is. Then you might get an understanding of "High Dollar".........Good luck. -
The Lonestar is in the same class of the 379/389, W900 & Coronado...

Wingnut1 Thanks this.

I really liked the Coronado I had at Furniture Row Express. The problem with the Lonestar is the motor limitation. That goofy front end would not let them get a large enough radiator in it to keep the 15 liter cool. The interior was ok though, but I much prefered the Coronado.
