Sorry, when I think of Mega Carriers / the larger trucking companies, UPS does not come to mind...lol UPS is in another league all together...lol UPS is a king of the crop type of company....

But for a large trucking company SNI compared to England, Swift, Central, JB Hunt, Knight and other companies like those SNI is at the top with retention...

    MarquesJ78 and hal380 Thank this.

My DBL would still call me while I was driving and would get mad if I didn't answer... That and I would walk in the office with the Bluetooth on my neck...lol It is a policy more so that SNI can cover their ### if you ever have an accident and were on the phone.

I've been with SNI for 3 months now and I can definitively say that I have had a positive experience throughout the time I have been with them and I am looking forward to a long and positive relationship for the the forseeable future. Before coming to SNI I did a lot of research and at one point almost went with Swift...thank God I avoided that bullet, paid for my own CDL training at Hickory trucking school, SNI reimburses me for the cost of tuition and also gives me a sign on bonus. Reading all the horror stories from the other companies I can honestly say that SNI is a great company to drive for!

LOL someone creates a Dont Go to Schneider thread without any substance. Then all the Schneider guys head over and start talking business as usual.

It is INCREDIBLY AMAZING that United Parcel Service, (UPS), has NOT yet gone out of business paying their hourly workers $37.00 an hour. Many other companies would have folded a long time ago. Sooner or later the bubble will burst.

    BASE PAY:

    $37.00 an hour X 40 hours = $1,480 a week.

    $1,480 a week X 52 weeks = $76,960 a year.

    OVERTIME PAY (TIME AND 1/2):

    $37.00 an hour X 1.5 = $55.50 an hour.

AN HOURLY WORKER WORKING AN EXTRA 20 HOURS FOR THE WEEK:

    $37.40 an hour X 40 hours = $1,480 for the week

    $55.50 an hour overtime X 20 hours = $1,110 for the week.

Combined total for the 60 hour work week = $2,590

United Parcel Service, (UPS), hourly workers must be some of the highest paid workers in all of the United States of America, at least as far as trucking is concerned.

    HOLY MOSES!!

That is such an uninformed statement. I had the same thought before I came over here. If you would have told me 18 months ago I would be driving for Schneider, I would have laughed in your face. My first year here doing intermodal/ regional out of Charlotte I will make just shy of $63K. Not bad for a M-F gig with an average of two nights a week in the trick. Oh yeah, my pay has never been wrong.

Before everyone starts drinking the pumpkin flavored koolaid. A friend of mine who was specificly hired to run Sears loads out of delao CA. Spent 9mo's running OTR frt from the sw to the midwest, waiting for them to honor their word before he quit in disgust. So do you think your good experience somehow cancels out the multitude of bad ones? negative.
